June 26, 2002 - Tapping machine designed for high flexibility
The 9000 NC electronic tapping machine from Roscamat offers tapping capacities from M3-M42 (1/8" - 1-5/8") and a maximum working radius of 1215 mm (47.8"). The arm is provided with an electronic motor, graphic display and a membrane keyboard for adjusting all tapping parameters like speed control, depth control, tool lubrication and thread counter.
The articulated arm is of the pantograph type made of Duralumin AL 6082 TS. Driven from a single motor, six different quick-change speed modules |
(40-1,400 rpm) are available with maximum torque of 340 N/m. The 220V single phase servo motor produces 1400 Watts of power and is of the brushless TSV type. The unit can be put on a table, bench or trolley. The unit provides high flexibility and is designed to take the tapping cycle out of the machining center.
